privacy policy
The short version: I collect what you send me, and only use it to reply.
Effective October 14, 2026
Who I am
This is the personal website of Skyla Urman. If you have a question about this policy or your information, email me at [email protected].
What I collect
Only what you choose to send through the contact form or by email:
- your name, if you give it
- your email address
- what you need help with, and your message
The site doesn't ask for anything else, doesn't set cookies, and doesn't use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
How I use it
I use your message to read it, reply to you, and talk through any work we decide to do together. I don't add you to a mailing list, and I don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
Services involved
- Formspree receives contact-form submissions, stores them, and forwards them to my email. Their handling of that data is described in the Formspree privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
- Email. Messages and my replies are stored in my email account (Gmail).
- Google Fonts supplies this site's typefaces. When a page loads, your browser requests the fonts from Google, which receives your IP address and basic browser details. See the Google privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
- Live project previews. The project screenshots load from this site. If you choose "Try it live", your browser loads that client's website directly from its own server, and that site's privacy practices apply while you use it.
- Hosting. The company that hosts this site may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, pages requested and the time of each request, to keep the site running and secure.
How long I keep it
I keep messages for as long as I need them to respond and, if we work together, for the length of that work. You can ask me to delete them at any time.
Your choices
Email [email protected] to ask for a copy of what you've sent me, to correct it, or to have it deleted from my email and from Formspree. I'll respond within 30 days.
Other websites
This site links to other sites, including client projects, LinkedIn and GitHub. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy doesn't cover.
Children
This site isn't directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, I'll update it on this page and change the effective date at the top.
